There are a variety of sites for field trips ranging from city parks to county forest preserves. Sites can be found as far north as Lake Forest and as far south as 135th Street.
Below is a list of sites arranged from north to south along the Chicago River. Each link will display a PDF with information about habitat type, access to water, amenities, parking and capacity. Feel free to call or email us for recommendations.

To book a field trip with Friends of the Chicago River, read the backgound information regarding field trip logistics. You will need to fill out a Field Trip Needs Form and fax it to (312) 939-0931.
If you group plans on visiting a sites within the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (listed above as sites #4-16 and #21-25), please submit the Application for Educational Activity Permit as well.
