Join Friends as we kick off our McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum's ninth season on May 10. Come discover the river's wonders inside the landmark five-story bridge tower  and try to catch the scheduled Bridge Lift at approximately 11 a.m.. Opening Day admission will be free in honor of Chicago River Day. 

On Chicago River Day thousands of volunteers gather for a day of hands-on environmental work throughout the Chicago River Watershed working side-by-side to collect garbage and sort for recycling, remove invasive vegetation, spruce up river-edge trails, plant native seedlings, and much more.
