Illinois Governor Pat Quinn and Mark Falanga, President, Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. are the 2012 Big Fish Ball’s Honorary Chairs along with Barbara Morse-Quinn as the Gala Event Chair.

Elegant outdoor dining, river-inspired festivities, wild guests, and an after-party boat cruise are this year’s event highlights. The breathtaking city skyline is the backdrop. For three decades, Friends of the Chicago River’s award-winning programs have helped create a greener, more accessible, and better cared for river. Big Fish Ball proceeds will:
• Enable Friends to facilitate improvements to the Chicago River’s ecological health;
• Assist our progress towards making it a corridor of accessible, valued open space; and,
• Help us build the broad base of popular support for the river that is critical to the long term success of efforts to improve it.
