Friends of the Chicago River's McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum now has an official, Spanish-guided tour, led by Ms. Rebeca Fernandez, Resident Architect-Preservationist. This special tour will cover the entire exhibit filled with interesting details and insights from an architect historian's perspective.

We hope families, school groups, and community groups who want to experience the museum's highly praised exhibit in Spanish can take advantage of this opportunity.

Trained as a design architect in Mexico, Ms. Fernandez is interested in the cultural legacies of historical architecture and preservation and is currently pursuing a master of science in historic preservation at the School of the Art Institute Chicago.

The Spanish-guided tour is free with museum admission.  All tours begin at the Riverwalk entrance, at the top of the hour.  Tours begin at 11am, 12pm, and 1pm and occur every other Saturday: August 1, August 15, August 29, September 12, September 26, October 10, and October 24.  Reservations are encouraged.  Group rates are available.

Please call Museum Director, Joanne So Young Dill, (312) 939-0490, ext. 23 for details.
