CHICAGO RIVER SPEAKER SERIES 2015
Presented by Friends of the Chicago River in partnership with the City of Chicago

It’s free!  It’s outdoors!  Meet your friends for a weekly lunch date at the McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum.  Join us each Monday under the summer sun for a free lecture series (June 1 – July 27, 2015) on the Chicago Riverwalk. Come learn more about local issues you care about, stroll the newly expanded riverwalk, and visit Friends’ unique Bridgehouse Museum.

Expert speakers from Openlands, Shedd Aquarium, Department of Water Management, and Friends will cover topics on wildlife habitat along the Chicago River, invasive species, Chicago’s bridges, and the economy of the river.  This will change the way you view the Chicago River and how you experience it. Come find out.

Lectures take place Mondays, 12:15 -12:45 p.m., in front of Friends’ Bridgehouse Museum, 376 N. Michigan Ave.   Check out our website site and the City’s events calendar for listings and the Riverwalk map.

The City expects to open its new Riverwalk to the public on the three-day weekend of May 23-25.
First lecture is June 1.
