Water Quality Assessment of the Chicago River

Come out to the Irene C. Hernandez Family Picnic Area for a no-stress look at assessing water quality with a chance to walk in the river. Explore the river as we discuss the history & potential future of our Chicago rivers as well. All water assessment equipment (Boots, nets, chemistry kits, etc.) will be provided. All you need is a water bottle, insect repellant, a pencil and an itch to explore! At the end of the morning, we'll ask you to share your ideas for the river's future.
