Canoe and Cleanups: Sold Out

Tags: Volunteer workday

Sorry! This Canoe and Cleanups event is sold out.

The Canoe and Cleanups effort  this summer allowed people to get out and enjoy the Chicago River with us, and do some good. Friends of the Chicago River’s Litter Free Chicago River project offered a fun way for the public to get involved by paddling with us.  We provided the canoes, the equipment, and the know-how. Only $10!

The Chicago River is cleaner than it has been in generations, but there is still an inordinate amount of garbage in the river. Litter is devastating to wildlife and a deterrent to people—and as development along the river continues it will only increase.

Saturday, October 19th.
