Big Awards for River Improvement

Friends of the Chicago River is thrilled to announce that we were selected to receive two Chi-Cal Rivers Fund awards. One is $105,000 for our North Shore Channel/North Branch Plant Restoration Project project which will improve fish habitat and the other is as a partner  of a $270,000 grant for Centennial Volunteers which Friends co-founded. Centennial Volunteers do restoration work in forest preserves along the river in Cook County.
