Evanston Habitat River Volunteer Day

Tags: Volunteers

We are clearing buckthorn at the south end of Harbert Park, with plans to replace it with some native, bird-friendly shrubs. We will be sure to pick up any litter we find during this workday too! Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Bring loppers and bowsaws or other small saws if you have them, and gloves if you have them - otherwise we will provide gloves and tools, and a snack. Don't forget to bring water!

(If anyone would like to bring binoculars we can do a little birding afterwards.)

Please join us to continue to improve and beautify our riverbank.

We will meet from 1-3 pm, in Harbert Park at Bradley and McDaniel.

Check out our FB event if you want to put the date in your calendar or share it with friends!

This effort is a part of the City of Evanston's North Shore Channel Habitat Project (evanstonhabitat.org), and Friends North Shore Channel Litter Free project.
