Linne Woods features walking, biking, and hiking trails and that attract those looking for an outdoor escape. It is also home to a wide variety of wildlife including amphibians, reptiles, insects, mammals, and birds.

Access

Linne Woods includes a segment of the North Branch of the Chicago River, a canoe landing and picnic groves. Paved and unpaved trails in the North Branch Trail System run through the site.

Restoration

30-acres of Linne Woods was impacted by agriculture, garbage dumping, and used for limestone spoil. Volunteers have dedicated themselves to restoring this land and protecting the adjacent high-quality prairie remnant, oak-hickory forest, and riparian areas from invasive species and other threats. Experience the beauty of its re-establishment and the return of wildlife.
