CANCELED - Litter Free Chicago River with the Greater Chicago Dragon Boat Club

Tags: Volunteers, Attend, Volunteer workday, and CREW opportunities

This event is canceled due to thunderstorms!

Friends of the Chicago River’s Litter Free Chicago River project teaming up with the Greater Chicago Dragon Boat Club to clean up along the North Branch of the Chicago River. The Chicago River is cleaner than it has been in generations, but there is still an inordinate amount of garbage in the river. Litter is devastating to wildlife and a deterrent to people—and as development along the river continues it will only increase. There is one way we know will help, everyday heros picking up litter to keep it out of the river.

This is a FREE family friendly event. Please register so we can be prepared!

***BONUS*** If you attend the clean up, you can get on the water in one of the very cool dragonboats!
