Friends of the Chicago River and Shedd Aquarium are partnering up for another year of planting the Little Calumet River! We invite you to volunteer for one of our many Paddle and Plants this summer to put in aquatic plants along the river's edge, a unique opportunity to put on waders, head out in canoes, park along the banks of the waterway, and install native plants. These plants improve habitat and water quality, in addition to improving our resiliency to climate change. We ask volunteers to be at least 12 years old and minors need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

If you cannot make the event, please cancel your reservation to allow others to participate and ensure we have enough volunteers to get the plants in that day. Thank you!
