The Big Jump!

Tags:

Come watch Friends’ executive director, Margaret Frisbie, and Water Reclamation District Commissioner Josina Morita jump into the Chicago River with other advocates; federal, state, and county elected officials; and representatives from key agencies at Ping Tom Park on August 25. The Big Jump highlights efforts to improve the river’s water quality and demonstrates our commitment to making the Chicago River swimmable for all.

You don't need to purchase tickets to the event. But this is a fundraiser for Friends of the Chicago River's K-12 education program and water quality efforts, so please consider donating or raising funds to provide river education to schools and communities throughout the year.

We know many of you probably want to jump in with us,
but members of the public are not allowed to jump or swim at the event.

You are welcome to come out and watch the Big Jump and cheer everyone on! The Big Jump happens at 9:00 a.m., so come by around 8:30 a.m. to find a spot to watch. See you there!
