Kick it at Kickapoo Woods & Prairie! From casual walks and invigorating paddling excursions to peaceful wildlife watching and more. Kickapoo Woods offers something for everyone - and everyone can play a part in caring for this special site.
Grab a coffee and pastry, take in the preserve, and learn how volunteers help care for this incredible community space through invasive plant removal, seed collecting, and other stewardship activities. Then join the fun with line dancing, hands-on activities, and giveaways! Drop ins are welcome, but registration is encouraged.
This event is held in partnership between Friends of the Chicago River, the Forest Preserves of Cook County, Friends of the Forest Preserves, Imani Village, Major Taylor Trail Keepers, the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, Openlands, and Chicago Model Masters Model Aviation Club.
