Friends is restoring habitat for three river-dependent species - ospreys, bats, and turtles - and we need your help. Sign up for one of our spring training sessions to become a Volunteer Wildlife Monitor. No experience necessary!

WHEN & WHERE:

Two trainings will be held on Zoom. Pre-registration is required. Once registered, you will receive a link to the training. Email Mark Hauser at mhauser@chicagoriver.org to register for a session.

*Thursday, March 25, 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
*Saturday, March 27, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

*Please only register for one date, as both sessions contain the same content*

Groups and families are encouraged. Under 18 must monitor with an adult.

We are asking volunteers to commit to at least one habitat location and monitor at least twice per month during the breeding season (until August). Habitats are located to the north (in Glencoe, Winnetka, Northfield, and Morton Grove) and south (in Lemont, Crestwood, Riverdale, and South Holland) of the city.
