River Oaks - Centennial Volunteers Stewardship Workdays

Centennial volunteers are reclaiming a stretch of wild riverbank in suburban South Holland. This 10-acre woodland along the Little Calumet River is home to osprey, beavers, wetlands and ancient oaks. Volunteers will learn about our forest preserves, enjoy natural areas close to home and make a tangible difference to our environment. Volunteers will be trained by experts in restoration and resource management.
