All Aboard for the Bridgehouse Museum

There are just a few weeks to go until our 10th Annual Autumn Cruise to benefit the education and public outreach programs of our McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum. Join us on Wednesday, September 27, from 6 – 8 p.m. to celebrate the landmark five-story Bridgehouse Museum in style and cruise the river among the glistening Chicago skyline.

The spectacular evening on the river includes hors d’oeuvres from Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp and Azul Mariscos, drinks from Molson Coors and Olé & Obrigado, and live music.

The Bridgehouse Museum is one of Friends' most public facing programs and welcomes tens of thousands of visitors every season to explore the history and future of the Chicago-Calumet River system. Your support enables programming at the Bridgehouse Museum such as field trips for students to learn about the river’s ecology and history. Support for the museum also keeps it moving forward as the single cultural experience along the thriving Chicago Riverwalk. And, as the only Chicago bridgehouse open to the public, visitors also have the exclusive opportunity to see up close the massive gears and counterweight system that still move the 103-year-old DuSable Bridge.

Tickets are $100 per person. To join our partnering organizations in sponsoring this high profile event, contact Bridgehouse Museum Director Josh Coles at jcoles@chicagoriver.org.

If you prefer to lend a hand and volunteer at the Autumn Cruise, our volunteer sign up is still open.
