Chicago Riverwalk Construction to Begin

The project will transform the riverfront into a linear park with wonderful natural areas, fountains, forests and places for canoes, kayaks, and recreational motor boats. Key to the whole project is the underbridge connections which allow pedestrians to walk along the river without having to return to street level block by block which has been a barrier to success in the past.

The city says construction hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. but the “underbridge” work would go 24 hours a day.  See the details from the North Loop News.
