Less Than One Week to Go – Register Now for the Member & Volunteer Celebration!

There is less than one week to go until Friends of the Chicago River’s Member & Volunteer Celebration, so be sure to register now! Join us on Wednesday, November 6, for an inspiring evening honoring the amazing members, volunteers, and partners who helped restore and protect the Chicago-Calumet River system this year.

The celebration runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mathew Bieszczat Volunteer Resource Center, 6100 N. Central Ave., Chicago. Enjoy great food and drinks while connecting with Friends’ staff, board members, and fellow river advocates who make our collective success possible.

We will spotlight this year’s greatest achievements and share a look ahead at the exciting work to come. A lively Q&A session will explore how our growing community continues to make the river healthier, more vibrant, and more welcoming for both people and wildlife.

The evening will also include an awards presentation recognizing outstanding dedication within the Friends community – the River Champion, Spirit of the River, Volunteer of the Year, and the new River Resiliency Award, which is presented by The Otter Society.

This celebration is open to members and volunteers only, and advance registration is required. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate another incredible year for the river—register today!
