It’s Earth Day on the River at the 20th Anniversary Big Fish Ball
Celebrate Earth Day on the river at the Big Fish Ball, marking 20 years since the very first Big Fish Ball! This milestone event brings Friends our supporters together for an elegant evening of cocktails and a delicious buffet, set against the skyline of the Chicago River downtown. The celebration is paired with a full month of Earth Month activities designed to engage corporate teams, with an exciting new opportunity this year for sponsors to get into the field on Earth Day.
The Big Fish Ball is one of Friends of the Chicago River’s most beloved and impactful fundraising events, uniting supporters, partners, and civic leaders in celebration of our shared commitment to protecting and restoring the 156-mile Chicago–Calumet River system. This year, the Ball takes place on April 16 aboard the Odyssey Chicago River, which was christened by our executive director in 2017. The intimate gathering of just 200 guests celebrates environmental health, river education, cleaner waterways, and equitable access for all.
As a Big Fish Ball sponsor, you make a direct and meaningful impact on the river system and its wildlife. The evening will also feature an exciting silent auction, including luxury travel, memorable nights out, outdoor gear, and more.
Sponsorship details are available now. To learn more, contact Director of Development Annie Hanrahan at ahanrahan@chicagoriver.org or (312) 939-0490, ext. 19. We hope you’ll join us for this special anniversary celebration in support of a healthier river for generations to come.
